Indie pop singer and songwriter, Amy Billings also known as her stage name Amy Shark was born and raised on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia 1986. Shark’s stage name was originated from her favourite film, Jaws. She entered and won an award for Pop Song of the Year at the 2016 Queensland Music Awards for the single, Golden Fleece. Shark successfully earned a grant and began touring nationally, as well as working with the producer M-Phazes on her single, Adore which was released in July 2016.

Amy Shark signed to Wonderlick Entrainment a joint venture with Sony Music Australia four months after the release of, Adore. The following year, she put out her EP, Night Thinker including the single Weekends. She won awards for Song of the Year and Artist of the Year at the Gold Coast Music Awards. Also, she was named Apple Music’s UpNext artist.

In 2018, she produced the song, Sink In for the Love, Simon soundtrack and debuted her album Love Monster; it included the tracks, I Said Hi, Psycho featuring Mark Hoppus, Mess Her Up, and Don’t Turn Around. Shark is working on her next album with the reported bands and artists The Chainsmokers, Diplo, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
