Alternative rock band, Atlas Genius was formed in Adelaide, South Australia 2009. The members currently consist of the Jeffery brothers, Michael (drummer), Steven (synths, bass guitarist), and Keith Jeffery (lead vocalist, lead guitarist). Atlas Genius’ influences of their music are the bands Phoenix, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Beatles. They gained a residency at the pub called The Lion to help fund their home studio.
A couple of years later, they released their single Trojans with the previous members Darren Sell before he decided to depart the band. Soon after they signed to Warner Bros. Records; and on June 2012, they put out their EP Through The Glass. Atlas Genius debuted their album, When It Was Now on February 2013, as well as the release of their second EP Trojans.
Their single, If So from the When It Was Now reached number eight on the Billboard Alternative Songs Charts. A year later, Atlas Genius made a decision to take a break from performing and returned in 2015 without Sell. On August 2015, they released their sophomore album, Inanimate Objects.
A couple of years later, they released their single 63 Days and went on their North America tour with the bands flor, Half the Animal and Magic Giant. On 2019, Atlas Genius announced their latest single Can’t Be Alone Tonight.
