Welsh alternative rock and post-hardcore band Dream State formed in South Wales, U.K., 2014. The band members consist of Aled Evans (guitarist), Rhys Wilcox (backing vocalist, guitarist), Jamie Lee (drummer), and lead vocalist Charlotte-Jayne ‘CJ’ Gilpin. The following year, they recorded their EP, Consequences at The Boneyard Studio in South Wales.

A couple of years later, they released their single White Lies, and performed at Reading and Leeds festival for the first time. During the event, Dream State got signed to UNFD.

On March 2018, they produced their second EP Recovery, and did a cover of Linkin Park’s Crawling for the compilation album, Songs That Save My Life. The project helps bring awareness towards mental health and suicide prevention. The following year, they released their singles Primrose, Hand In Hand and Open Windows.

Former bassist Danny Rayer made a decision to leave the band to focus on his family. Dream State announced their debuting their album, Primrose Path on the fall of 2019 and it is going to be produced by Dan Weller.
