Troye Sivan Mellet was born on June, 1995 in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of two, he moved to Australia with his family and in 2006, he started his music career by performing at the Seven Perth Telethon and Australian Idol as a duet with Guy Sebastian who was the winner of the show. The following year, he released his EP Dare to Dream and was Oliver Twist in the production of Oliver!

On February 2008, Sivan was young James Howlett in the film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. A couple of years later, he help raised money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake by releasing the collaborative album, We Are the World 25 for Haiti (YouTube edition) which was produced by Lisa Lavie. After he started gaining popularity on YouTube by posting blogs and videos of him singing; he got signed to Universal Music Australia’s imprint label, EMI Australia in 2013.

During the summer of 2014, he officially debuted his EP TRYXYE with the lead single Happy Little Pill. The extended play was charted number one on iTunes. Sivan produced his second EP, Wild and the album Blue Neighbourhood in 2015. The visuals for the tracks Wild, Talk Me Down and Fools where part of the Blue Neighbourhood trilogy and has a representation for the LGBTQ+ community. In 2016, he promoted the album by going on the Blue Neighbourhood Tour and performed at his previous concert titled, Troye Sivan Live.

The following year, he did a collaboration with Martin Garrix for his single, There for You. In 2018, Sivan released his second album Bloom through EMI and Capitol Records. It included the title track, My My My!, and Dance to This featuring Ariana Grande. Sivan made an appearance in the film, Boy Erased alongside Nicole Kidman. Also, he co-written and recorded Revelation for the movie and was nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.

Sivan did a couple of collaborations with Charli XCX on the singles, 1999 and 2099 for her album Charli. From 2018 to 2019, he went on tour to promote his latest album, Bloom and was featured in Lauv’s i’m so tired... for his upcoming album, how i’m feeling.
