Irish indie band, Walking On Cars formed in 2010 with the current members Sorcha Durham (pianist), Evan Hadnett (drummer), Paul Flannery (bassist), and Patrick Sheehy (lead vocalist/ lyricist). They started performing at clubs and local venues in their hometown of Dingle, County Kerry.
In mid 2011, the band rented a cottage in the Dingle peninsula to work on their music. A year later, they won the Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition and released their single, Catch Me If You Can which reached number one on the iTunes charts and number twenty seven on the Irish charts.
Walking On Cars put out their EP, As We Fly South in 2013 with the hit singles, Catch Me If You Can and Two Stones. They recorded the EP at Attica Studios and it was produced by Tom McFall who is known for working with bands such as, Snow Patrol, Editors, Bloc Party, and R.E.M. A year later, the band released their single Always Be With You and their second EP, Hand In Hand through Virgin EMI Records.
On January 2016, the band debuted their album Everything This Way with the raw instrumentals and angelic vocals from Sheehy on tracks such as, Catch Me If You Can, Tick Tock, Two Stones, Always Be With You, Speeding Cars, and Hand In Hand. A couple of years later, Walking On Cars had issues with the members of the band whilst they were producing their sophomore album, Colours which was released in April 2019.
